Why this training

There is something deeply simple about the rebozo, and perhaps that is exactly what makes it so powerful.

A few minutes rocked, carried, enveloped. The time of a breath. To be received, to be embraced, to feel the boundaries of your body without having to do anything. Allowing yourself to let go. Trust.

This tissue, this second skin, carries something ancient within it. Something that knows, even before the words come.

This training teaches you the subtlety of this fabric: its rhythms, its listening, its many ways of being used.

It can become a fundamental - or supplementary - part of your practice, whether you are a bodyworker, midwife, or doula. And if you simply want to learn how to offer this care to the people you love, or to yourself, then this training is also for you.

What is the rebozo?

Originally from Mexico, the rebozo is a woven shawl that has been passed down for centuries by midwives and women from Maya communities. Its unique weaving technique makes it both sturdy and flexible, able to adapt to all bodies, all ages, and all moments of life.

Much more than a cloth, the rebozo is a language: that of rocking, enveloping, supporting. Through its gentle and rhythmic movements, it invites the nervous system to relax, the body to descend, and the mind to find peace.

It is not only learned with the hands - it is felt, it is passed on, it is lived.

What you are going to learn?

This training goes to the core. In three intensive days, you won't just skim over it; you embody it. Lots of practice, targeted feedback, and the time to feel for yourself before you pass it on.

The rebozo in all its dimensions. On the ground, on a massage table, with a ball, with a chair. Weighings, closures, enwrapments, support adjusted to each body, every moment, every need.

All life stages. Adults, pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum, babies, children — learning to tailor practice to the age, condition, and needs of the recipientr.

Integration in your practice.  How to weave the rebozo in a natural and coherent way with what you are already doingt.

Time for community and reconnection.  Circles of care, moments to receive and give care, space for presence with yourself. Because learning to care also starts with allowing yourself to be cared for..
