What is a rebozo?

The rebozo is a handwoven shawl with deep roots in Mexican culture. This shawl symbolises protection and support and is used to guide women through various stages of their lives – a true "second skin".

What is the purpose of this ritual?

This ritual helps you to pause and reflect on important life moments and to close them in a beautiful way. Whether it concerns the birth of a child, the beginning of a new chapter in your life, or processing loss, the ritual offers you a safe space to become aware, feel gratitude, and let go of what you no longer need.

How does the ritual proceed?

1. Initial contact (free):
   We start with a non-binding conversation via phone or email. In this, we explain the ritual step by step, discuss your personal needs, and plan a moment when we can put you in the spotlight.

3. • Setting intention:
     With a warm cup of herbal tea, we start with an introduction. Then we do a short grounding exercise and discuss your intention for the ritual. What do you want to let go of? What do you want to make space for? This intention is the guiding principle for the session.
   • Relaxation Massage:
     A soothing body massage with natural oil helps you release tension and fully immerse yourself in the moment. Duration: 1 hour.
     
   • Heat experience:
     Choose between a healing flower bath or a steam sauna:
   • • Flower Bath: A lovely warm bath with medicinal plants and flowers, accompanied by visualisations and sound healing.
     • Steam sauna: Guided meditations and sound healing in a warm, intimate setting.
   • Closure with the rebozo:
     With the rebozo, we close off energetic points in your body, from your head to your feet. This symbolic act provides a sense of completion and marks the transition to a new beginning.

• The ritual is conducted in English, Spanish, and French

• Duration: Approximately 4 hours

• When: This ritual is suitable for any life transition. Not during pregnancy and from 4 weeks after childbirth (6 weeks after a caesarean section).

Tip for young mothers:

To enjoy to the fullest, we recommend (if possible) having your baby looked after during the session. If that is not feasible, we are happy to brainstorm a solution with you.

This care is provided in French and in English. 

I invite you to receive a care moment, inspired by the postnatal traditions from Europe, especially for you, young mother, who is caring for her baby during the first postpartum period (the first 3 months after birth).

Your newborn baby needs closeness, contact, comforting arms, human warmth, abundant milk, sweet words, rocking movements, and the feeling of being carried and enveloped...

And you, his mother, his first home, remain his refuge that meets all his needs.

To be that caring mother for your baby, you also need care in return. As you fully dedicate yourself to the needs of your baby, it is essential that there is someone by your side to support you and honour your own needs.

How is it going?

I will come to your home for 3 hours and offer you the following:

• A moment of conversation and listening, accompanied by a local herbal tea and a treat specially adapted for the postnatal period.
• A choice between a sitz bath or a steam bath with medicinal herbs, to care for your perineum and uterus.
• A massage with an oil macerate, an herbal compress for the chest and abdomen, a gentle closing of the abdomen and pelvis.
• A moment of integration and calm.

If you wish, your baby's presence is warmly welcomed during this care, which honours the unity of Mamatoto (the mother-baby dyad). I adapt to your needs and the demands of breastfeeding. The presence of the co-parent or a trusted person nearby to care for your baby is greatly appreciated, so you can take some time to reconnect with yourself.
